Race Report EDR #6: Morillon

EDR #6: Morillon

Vid Peršak again proved that the proper & long enduro races are his thing. On the last race of the season, he finished in 14th place and pushed himself up in the overall standings.

Last enduro race of the Whoop UCI MTB World Series was a two day event in Morillon. Vid had a solid start on the first three stages, with times that put him in places from 30 to 40. He exploded on the S4 and finished in 13th place and continued in that manner till the end.

His best stage was the very last one, he finished that one in 10th and took P14 on the race!

Vid Peršak: “It was a brutal race with four days in heat waves and really loose conditions. Eight different stages offered more than 40 minutes of racing. Training went quite smooth and so did the first day. I did my homework and was ready for a race here. On the first day I started a bit steady and built my pace towards the end of the day. On the second day I knew I could do good, so I pushed hard, stayed focused and hit all my lines. Stoked to grab P14 overall and top-10 stage result. It was good to see I can perform well on all different stages and terrains.”

This was also a confirmation that Nicolai G1 GPI with Gates belt drive is crazy good race enduro bike!
