La Thuile Delivers Drama, Speed & Determination
Race day in La Thuile is a wrap, and what a weekend it was! Between wild weather, gnarly terrain, and a whole lot of heart from the team, there was no shortage of action. Our best result from the weekend is Monika’s 9th place, but there is much more to it!
Monika – Smooth, Solid, and into the Top 10
Monika brought the heat with a clean, focused ride that landed her in 9th place. She called it “a bit too safe,” but overall she was happy with how she rode and is feeling confident heading into the next round. It’s another strong result to build on.
Monika: “Racing at a new venue, on a completely new track, was great. Because of the terrain and steepness, the course is challenging on its own, and with the nice weather, it was even dustier and more slippery than it would usually be. I really enjoyed the training runs — it’s a fantastic terrain for downhill. In both the qualifiers and the finals, I rode at a safe pace, but I’m happy with the result in the end. In this level of competition, any placement in the top ten is a good result, although I know I’m capable of riding faster, especially on some sections. Next up is Andorra, where the surface is similar, and I’m already looking forward to it.”
Reece – Back on Pace
After a great morning of practice, Reece was flying in his race run and looked set for a top-10 finish. Unfortunately, a technical issue near the bottom caused a crash. Despite that, he still crossed the line in 24th, showing he’s back in form and ready to fight at the front again.
Reece: “I’ve really enjoyed my week!! Just qualifying was a win for me. The final result is easy for me to overlook with how well I was riding. A front flat is out of everyone’s control so we can move onto next week confident and hungry, ready to try again!”
Henry – A Tough Break
Henry was looking sharp in qualifying and came into his Q2 run with strong pace. Sadly, a crash mid-run ended his weekend early. He’s currently undergoing medical checks, and we’re all wishing him a smooth and speedy recovery. He’ll be back stronger.
Hattie – Focused on Recovery
After her crash during practice earlier in the week, Hattie made the tough but smart call to sit out the rest of the weekend. Health always comes first, and she’s been taking the right steps to recover fully. We’re hopeful to see her back on track soon.
Stan – Fighting Spirit in the Face of Chaos
Stan came into the weekend with solid pace and confidence, but qualifying didn’t go his way. A few costly mistakes in Q2 pushed him just outside the finals cut. It was a frustrating result, especially after showing strong form throughout practice, but that’s racing — and Stan is taking the lessons forward.
Stan: “This one stings. I felt great all week and was riding well, but qualifying was messy and I just couldn’t pull it together when it counted. It’s frustrating not to be in finals, but I know where I can improve, and I’m already focused on putting it right in Andorra.”
Vid – Enduro Mayhem & Night Stage Magic
Vid’s Enduro race didn’t quite go to plan. He crashed early on the first stage, which set a tough tone for the day. He kept pushing but maybe pushed a little too hard, leading to more mistakes on the following stages. That said, he pulled it together for the final night stage, which was a real spectacle — and one where he shined. He finished 45th overall and is already looking forward to the next round.
Next Stop: Andorra
The team now turns its focus to Andorra. Another week, another challenge — and the crew is ready. Thanks so much to all of you for following along, sending good vibes, and cheering us on from wherever you are. We ride for the love of the sport, and for fans like you.
Let’s keep it rolling!
